Reinecke, Carl (1824-1910)
Description:
Born in 1824, composer Reinecke lived to be 86 years old. He was a prolific composer, with over 300 pieces published during his lifetime alone, and his style is basically in the style of Schumann and Brahms, yet faithfully reflects the style of the period in which it was written. His five string quartets cover the entire period from the early years of his activity to his later years, and are a compact collection of Reinecke's musical pursuits. Influenced by his musicologist father, Reinecke studied the works of Beethoven and Mozart from an early age, and No. 1, published in 1846, is a highly accomplished work that combines classical neatness with youthful enthusiasm. The first piece, published in 1846, is a highly accomplished work that combines classical neatness with youthful passion. The Reinhold Quartet specializes in works from the Classical to Romantic periods. Naxos Japan
