This is a collection of the preliminary rounds (UK Regional Championships) for each division of the 2022 Besson UK National Brass Band Contest. The featured Championship piece is Wilfred Heaton's "Contest Music," a 1973 composition that has been the subject of numerous contests. Other pieces include "Aeronauts" by Goff Richards and "Spectrum" by Gilbert Vinter. Although it is a collection of contest pieces, it is full of remarkable works. Besson National Brass Band Contest】The Besson National Brass Band Contest is a historic competition that has been held since 1900, in which the British Champion of the British National Brass Band competes. The current contest is divided into eight districts: "London & Southern Counties," "Midlands," "North of England," "North West," "Scotland," "Wales," "West of England," and "Yorkshire. Each year, regional qualifying competitions are held in March in each region, and the finals are held in the fall. This is the music for the regional qualifiers, and the music for the finals will be set separately.
