The new recording, the second release of the joint project between "Da Vinci Classic" and "Unzipped Classical Music" on Gavrylov's official website, is a collection of works by four composers centered around the piano sonatas of Liszt! In 1974, at the age of just 18, Liszt won the first prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition and enjoyed great success at the Salzburg Festival, but was subsequently persecuted by the KGB. However, he was persecuted by the KGB, and then, with the approval of then Communist Party Secretary General Gorbachev, he became the first artist in the former Soviet Union to be granted permission to leave the country without going into exile.
