This incredible 1950's dress in a soft water silk floral pattern in a palette of greens, pinks, lilacs, yellows and greys, is the perfect piece to add to your occasion wardrobe. 

The straight cut neckline of the dress is framed by wide pleated shoulder straps. The elegant fitted bodice, is accented by a pleated watersilk panel along the bust-line, that joins the back of the bodice, creating a sweetheart cut along the backline, where the pleated panels join centrally beneath a matching watersilk bow. The bow sets off the detailed pleated back sashes, which drape along the length of the back of the skirt-line and are lined in pink taffeta silk. The fitted bodice of the dress is accented by tailored darts that run along the length of the bodice and set off the fitted waistline. Finished with a timeless straight-cut skirt, this eye-catching dress showcases the incredible tailoring and design of the era.

Closures: This dress fastens along the side seam with a 15.5 inch metal zip and a hook and eye.

Condition: This dress is in perfect vintage condition. The dress appears to have been taken out along some of the seams, there are very light stitch marks where the seams have been moved. This is not apparent when the dress is being worn and only apparent under close inspection. 

Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
