St. Jude, known as well as Thaddeus which means Courageous, Brave, was one of the twelve Jesus Apostles. He was born into a small village, the same region in which Jesus grew up. Saint Mathew described Jude as Jesus' relatives, it is said that Jude's Father was Saint Joseph's brother and his Mother, was Mary's cousin. He spent his childhood with Jesus and he followed Him during His Travel. St Jude was on of the twelve Apostles present at the Last Supper, he received the Holy Spirit Discent. After Jesus' Death and Resurrection, Jude began preaching the Good News of the Saviour throughout Asia. He was martired in Persia or Siria. Usually Christian Iconography depicts Him wearing Green, symbolizing Hope and Renewal, holding a Club, the instrument of His Death, wearing a Medallion portraying Jesus on His Chest and with a Flame around/on His Head symbolizing the Descent of the Holy Spirit.
