The TOA N‑8010EX is a high-performance IP network intercom exchange designed for medium to large-scale facilities requiring reliable hands-free communication. Supporting up to 16 station lines and capable of connecting with up to 192 exchanges over an Ethernet network, the N‑8010EX provides scalable, professional-grade intercom solutions for offices, schools, factories, and commercial buildings. Its 2-wire 160 kbps echo-canceller system allows simultaneous conversation with crystal-clear audio even over long distances.

Equipped with a built-in network interface (10BASE-T / 100BASE-TX) and supporting TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, RTP, ARP, ICMP, and IGMP protocols, the N‑8010EX enables flexible IP-based communications across a facility. Audio packets can be transmitted via unicast or multicast, supporting up to 16 unicast or 191 multicast destinations for station paging and group announcements. The voice system operates at 8 kHz or 16 kHz with 16-bit quantization and uses Sub-band ADPCM encoding with optional silence insertion to ensure reliable voice delivery.

Installation is versatile with options for rack mounting (1U), desktop placement, or surface mounting using included brackets. The black pre-coated steel chassis with forced-air cooling is durable and designed for continuous operation. Operating conditions include temperatures from 32 °F to 104 °F and up to 90% relative humidity (non-condensing), making it suitable for a variety of indoor environments.
