This is a genuine hand knotted hand made Persian Sarouk Runner. Approximate size of the rug is 3' 3" by 7' . This runner is approximately over 55 years old.
Sarouk, also known as Saruk or Sarough is situated in the province of Markazi in Iran. A fantastic Persian Sarouk rug with use of intricate patterns throughout. Using hand-spun wool from their sheep the weavers use the Persian asymmetrical knot and weave patterns in bold beige , corals, navy, ivory, reds and burgundy in striking designs including floral vines and curvilinear.
Sarouk rugs are known to have a luxurious quality pile to them which allows them to withstand the level of foot traffic on them.
On its beige ground with beautiful hand knotted art, this runner is a perfect size that can be styled in so many different places of the home.
