Unique Texture: This texture is created through a process called reticulation. The metal for the ring is placed on cold steel then heated with a flame. The steel keeps the inside surface cold and the shape and structure of the sheet intact. The flame melts the outside surface of the metal. The melting surface expands, then, as it cools it shrinks leaving this unique pattern. Its replicates the naturally occurring process of the earths cooling crust. Each one is unique.
