Sunrez 1022 UV Surface Primer and bond coat is a urethane acrylate blend which has been specially formulated for UV cure. It initially has the same blue hue as the LED light during the curing process but changes to a fluorescent orange after it has fully cured. This patent pending trait gives the operator a visual indicator that the primer has been given the proper amount of UV light to be fully cured.

It has excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates including epoxy and polyester composites, aluminum, steel, and many compound plastics like PVC and ABS.

The primer should be applied to a clean, surface prepped substrate at a depth of 3-15 mils. Most substrates achieve maximum adhesion to the UV prepregs when the primer and prepregs are cured simultaneously. In some instances, particularly steel, a 60 sec precure of the primer before applying the UV prepregs is recommended.
