Lions of Lydia is a bag-management and engine-building game about the rise of currency. As an influential leader, you send merchants to exchange resources and increase your land holdings. When the nobles arrive, they bring into play their Lydian Lion coins - which have unparalleled purchasing power.

To achieve victory, you must manage the traders well and complement their skills with the cards on your tableau. Traditional merchants produce basic resources needed to build your engine, but if you don't convert your resources into coins, you won't be able to buy the most valuable cards! Therefore, noble Lydian merchants - and their gold lion coins - are the key to success. When enough properties have been developed, the game ends and a winner is declared!
