This swirling tangle of floating stones and fire is "held together" by a weak force of gravity and atmospheric shell, but it never forms a whole. An explorer standing on such a chunk of stone can see thousands of similar stone continents floating on the horizon. You see rivers of lava moving between them, as if they were in a planetary large lava lamp. Above and below have no meaning in this ever-changing world of hellish heat. Navigating this environment involves great risk.
