Hotel Amsterdam is a board game in which the players are hotel owners who deviously try to get the most tourists into their hotels.

Every day new tourists flood into the city looking for entertainment. The players try to respond intelligently to this by building hotels as close as possible to the main attractions. During the day, the Mayor leads tourists to the museums, they sail through the canals and visit souvenir shops. In the evening the character of the city changes. When the lights in the Red Light District are turned on and the bars and coffee shops open their doors, the Night Watchman makes his appearance. The Mayor and the Night Watchman can change the character of various places in the city. This forces tourists to look for other places in the city. For example, if a brothel is closed, tourists will soon seek refuge in another brothel. And just leave that brothel near another player's hotel. Manage the city and make sure your hotel is the first to be fully booked.
