A Tribe Called Quest (ATCQ), a legendary group representing the golden era of hip-hop in the 1990s, celebrated its 25th anniversary last year and is now releasing its first new album in 18 years and its last as a full band! Formed in the late 80's by the genius Q-Tip, MC Fife (who sadly passed away this March), DJ Ali Shaheed, and Jalobi, ATCQ has been known for their playful lyrics and unique sense of sound since their debut in 1990, leading the new hip-hop movement of the 90's, "New School. Their fourth album, 1996's "Beats Rhythm and Life," debuted at #1 on the U.S. charts and was nominated for a Grammy, and their innovative sound has influenced many artists in the years to come. This is the first new album in 18 years from these genuine legends, and is a must-hear for those who want to experience real hip-hop.
