The Durus 187283 CV is a 1.875" × 2.875" × 0.313" rotary shaft oil seal (Single Lip + Dust Lip (Full Rubber Coat)) with Viton (FKM) sealing lip. Designed for retaining lubricant and excluding contaminants in pumps, gearboxes, motors, agitators, and rotating industrial equipment.

Application

Durus rotary shaft oil seals are used in pumps, gear reducers, motors, agitators, conveyors, automotive transmissions, and rotating equipment where lubricant must be retained and contaminants excluded. Operating temperature range: -40°F to 400°F. Excellent for fuels, synthetic oils, hydraulic fluids, and aggressive chemicals.

Installation: Press into the housing bore using a flat-faced installation tool. The seal face should be flush or slightly recessed from the housing face. Lubricate the lip lightly before installation. Use a Durusleeve to restore shafts with wear grooves from prior seal contact.
