Duncan, Trevor (1924-2005)
Description:
Trevor Duncan is a British composer born in 1924. He was almost self-taught in composition and piano at an early age, and at the age of 18 joined the BBC, where he worked on radio dramas. He also began writing his own works with the encouragement of the famous conductor Ray Martin. In the 1950s, he composed a lot of light music, including "Corsica" and "Corsica". Among them, "The Girl from Corsica" became so popular that it was broadcast daily on the radio. After leaving the BBC, Duncan continued to compose even as the popularity of light music in the U.K. declined. This album contains mainly works from his heyday in the 1950s. Enjoy these beautiful works, which are filled with fresh descriptions of scenes, sensual romance, and delicate poetic sentiment. Naxos Japan
