John Wilson's 3rd R.R. Bennett! Symphony No. 1" & Dedication to Wilson! John Wilson is a conductor, arranger, and specialist in light music and American music. This is the third in the popular series of R. R. Bennett's orchestral works! Richard Rodney Bennett (1936-2012) was a British national composer, especially known for his film scores such as "Murder on the Orient Express" and "Four Weddings," as well as his versatile talents in jazz (which he also played and sang), dance music, and TV music. His "Symphony No. 1" was inspired by Dan Klein, a glassmaker who became Bennett's long-term partner. Zodiac" was composed in honor of the 70th birthday of his lifelong friend, British composer Elizabeth Lutchence. History of Dance," based on a poem by Bennett's sister, the poet Meg Peacock, and composed in memory of their parents. And "Reflections on 16th Century Melodies," dedicated to John Wilson, with whom Bennett developed a deep musical connection and long friendship.
