Description:
This is the latest album by Dai Fujikura, a London, England-based composer who co-wrote the collaborative album "Manayachana" with guitarist Shin Sasakubo on SMJI in 2014. His works were discovered by the contemporary music master Pierre Boulez, who sadly passed away earlier this year, and are famous for being performed most often in the contemporary music world, where most of them are performed only once (i.e., only for the first time). In the popular music field, Fujikura is a close friend of David Sylvian (ex-JAPAN) and Ryuichi Sakamoto, and has participated in their works as an arranger. In April 2014, he became composer-in-residence of the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, and this is the latest collection of live recordings of Fujikura's works performed by the orchestra. This is the first high-quality SA-CD hybrid disc of Fujikura's works, allowing the audience to enjoy the exquisite orchestral sound of his works. ■Hybrid CD / Recording dates: December 11-12, 2015, July 24-25, 2015, February 21-22, 2014, October 24-25, 2014
