In 2017, Menno Gootjes (G) and Henry McIlveen (B), formerly of THRENODY, started as a project band to build a new heavy metal/rock sound and style, trying a different approach from the previous progressive metal style. They started their activities as a project band. At the end of 2018, Daniel de Jongh (Vo), who was in the Dutch progressive metal band TEXTURES, joined the band, Programming) joined the band. The current lineup is now complete and the band officially begins its activities as a band. The addition of keyboardist Martijn has transformed the band into a symphonic sound similar to WITHIN TEMPTATION, BLACK NAZARETH is taken from the nickname of their home town of Suheedam in the western part of the Netherlands. Due to Corona, the band was unable to perform live, but instead focused on writing songs and producing video clips.In January 2021, they released their first video clip "Rivers Run Deep" and produced most of the videos for the songs on this album.
