Kido-san crafts these petite cups using volcanic ash from Sakurajima—an active volcano in Kagoshima Bay. The ash gives the mottled surface a beautiful, iridescent sheen.

We love how these small vessels bring contrast to the table — dark volcanic ash on the outside and a bright pop of color (white, blue, or yellow) on the inside.
