Installation & Ducting

Install 24-30 inches above an electric cooktop, or 30-36 inches above a gas cooktop. Use a 6" or 8" smooth-walled rigid metal duct — never flexible or corrugated. The 8" configuration runs quieter at full power. Keep ducting runs as short and straight as possible to preserve airflow.

Makeup Air & Code Compliance

Range hoods rated 400 CFM or higher may require a makeup air system to comply with the International Residential Code (IRC) in tightly sealed homes.
