After being recognized by Riccardo Muti as the principal viola player of the Florence City Opera, he became the solo violist of the Yomiuri Symphony Orchestra and the solo principal viola player of the NHK Symphony Orchestra. He has been active not only as a soloist but also as a major member of Saitokinen and Kirishima Music Festival, as well as a mentor for younger violists.
