The visual novel game "Fate/stay night" depicts the story of the "Holy Grail," a universal wishing machine that grants wishes to those who hold it in their hands. The final route [Heaven's Feel] (a.k.a. Sakura route), which is spun as an animated film trilogy, will finally be completed. The animation will be produced by ufotable, which produced the TV anime version of "Unlimited Blade Works" in 2014, and will be directed by Tomonori Sudo, who has worked on numerous animated adaptations of TYPE-MOON works as character designer and animation director, following the first and second chapters. Chapter 2 [lost butterfly], released in 2019, drew 1.09 million viewers and grossed 1.67 billion yen at the box office, surpassing the first chapter [present flower] released in 2017.
