Haydn (1732-1809)
Description:
In preparation for the 300th anniversary of Haydn's birth in 2032, Giovanni Antonini, a prodigy in the field of ancient music performance, is steadily advancing the seventh volume of his series of complete symphonies on the theme of "The Court Theater and Its Director". The theme of this volume is "Court Theatre and its Director." The Basel Chamber Orchestra, a group of talented musicians who use both ancient and modern instruments, and Il Giardino armonico, which Antonini himself founded, will be his partners in this project, and the former will be his partner this time. The first is the partner of this year's festival. Both the early works, which are brimming with fresh talent, and the two middle works, which can be said to be the height of their richness, are based on music from operas and cantatas, and are associated with the direction of the theater director who organized the events at the court theater of the Marquis of Esterhazy (......). It is noteworthy that the recording also includes Mozart's music for "Thamos, King of Egypt," which was performed by one of the directors of the theater (a work that was recorded independently by Arnoncourt many years ago). In addition to the stylish and spontaneous sound production, the full commentary to decipher the theme is also not to be missed. Naxos Japan
