Rudy Ray Moore was a comedian/actor whose strong undertones and ex-rated style split his popularity in two with Blowfly (an alias of Clarence Reid), a pioneer of vulgar rap. His style greatly influenced Snoop Dogg, Big Daddy Kane, and the 2 Live Crew, and his stand-up shows, always with a band, were musically brilliant.Rudy Ray Moore's first album released in 1972, "The Turning Point," was a straight-up soul/funk album without the comedic elements.
