A joyous riff-fest fusing metal and punk in an unholy synthesis. The bile-spitting snarl of Paul Dianno pitted against the twin guitar assault of Dave Murray and Dennis Stratton is head-banging heaven. 'Arry holds down the low end with some truly nimble bass playing and Clive Burr could always kick the shit out of a bass drum. Clever prog-style time changes interlaced with bare-knuckled power chording illustrated that Maiden knew the rules were there to be broken.
