Although many people have heard the sound of reed organs (foot-pedal organs) in school music rooms and churches, only a few CDs are in circulation in Japan. This long-awaited album is a record of the unparalleled husband-and-wife team of Sonoko Ito, a reed organist, and Nobuo Ito, a restorer. The reed organs used in the recordings are all famous instruments from the United States, England, Canada, and France, built between 100 and 120 years ago.
