Finding Light in the Dark

Introducing my award-winning art print:  

🌟 Grief unfolds in layers over time, comes in waves over time, and the essence lies in letting go. This collage captures the journey of dealing with resurfacing sorrow. 

Anakin's first lesson on his path to becoming a Jedi was learning not to mourn his loss of his mother, and this sets him on the path to becoming Darth Vader. His biggest mistake was seeing tragedy as something that could be avoided or fixed, rather than something to be endured or weathered like a storm. How would Anakin’s life have been different if he was given a natural way to express his longing for his mother?

🌊 There is no right way to grieve and it is a journey that you have to explore. And during this journey, your thoughts and emotions could come in waves (symbolized by the wild mushroom looking like waves and the boats/ships on it). 

Sometimes, it involves exploring your childhood memories etc. (symbolized by the children cutout image at the top of the mushroom).

🐟 After all, you will find yourself catching these thoughts, similar to standing in front of a giant fish tank in an aquarium, peacefully watching the fish swimming pass by. When you can let these thoughts drift by without latching onto them, not trying to suppress them but also not letting them carry you away, that is when you know you truly LET GO.
