Overview

The atx-i 100mm f/2.8 full frame (FF) Macro is designed and optimized for contemporary DSLR cameras with still photographers and video content creators’ demands in mind. The Tokina atx-i 100mm f/2.8 FF Macro is a compact, medium tele-macro lens for full-frame film and digital SLR cameras. The high performance resolution, fast aperture, low distortion, low falloff and beautiful soft bokeh make this lens attractive for macro, portraits, and general purpose shooting.

Premium Optical Design

The optical design of Tokina atx-i 100mm f/2.8 FF Macro features zero curvature of field and extremely low distortion while maintaining super high resolution across the entire image along with low falloff and perfectly controlled chromatic aberration. Multi-coating applied to optical elements effectively control flare and ghosting.

1:1 Macro Reproduction

At (1:1) reproduction, the lens provides a comfortable 4.5 inches of working distance between the front of the lens and your subject. The fast f/2.8 aperture makes it easy to focus in low light and renders soft beautiful bokeh. This lens is an excellent choice for portraits, landscapes, video, and small world photography.

Focus Clutch

The One-Touch Focus Clutch Mechanism makes switching from automatic focus (AF) to manual focus (MF) simple. While in AF mode the user only needs to snap the focus ring back toward the camera to engage “real” manual focus control. This gives photographers an authentic tactile MF feel with hard stops on either side of the focus range. Additionally, the directional rotation of the focus ring matches the direction of proprietary Nikon lenses.
