The Hazard 4 Shoreleave MK3 is a 117-liter (7,140 cubic inch) compartmentalized rolling luggage bag built for long trips, extended deployments, and demanding travel environments. The shell is Cordura® military-grade Nylon 6,6 with a dual-layer PU water-repellent coating, and the chassis — wheels, glide-rails, and frame — is engineered to absorb the kind of abuse that destroys conventional suitcases. At 30" x 14" x 17" (76 x 36 x 43 cm) and 10.6 lbs., it sits at the upper limit of what most travelers can manage single-handed, making it the right call when you need maximum capacity without surrendering mobility. Available in Black and Coyote.
The Shoreleave MK3 opens at the top like a conventional duffle, but the interior splits 70/30 — the upper duffle portion measures 30" x 13.4" x 11" and the lower stiff-bottom bin measures 30" x 13.4" x 4.7". Both sections are accessible from the top opening, and the lower compartment has its own dedicated access point so you can reach the bottom without unpacking the top. An oversized fast-access pocket sits on the top-left exterior for documents, boarding passes, or anything you need to grab without opening the main bag. Multiple organization pockets throughout the interior keep smaller items sorted and retrievable.
The MK3 revision replaces the rubber textile used in the original Shoreleave with Cordura® fabrics throughout — more abrasion-resistant and significantly longer-lasting under repeated use. The interior liner is now tricot, which accepts hook-fastener dividers so you can reconfigure the interior to match your load. Generic locking buckles have been replaced with Hazard 4's patented Roto-Lock buckles on the compression straps, which prevent the accidental unlatching that affected earlier production runs. The dual top-and-side carry configuration from prior versions has been simplified to a single top handle, eliminating loose straps that would drag on the floor. Bottom feet and the base plate were removed to allow the bag to store flat and reduce shipping volume.
Wide compression straps with large Roto-Lock buckles cinch the bag down when you're moving fast or stacking it. The two super-padded carry handles — one on top, one on the side — give you clean lift points when the wheels aren't an option. At the base, oversized glide-rails protect the shell and the wheels during rough handling, and the all-terrain wheel system rolls smoothly across surfaces that stop inline-wheel bags cold. MOLLE webbing and fuzzy-loop fields on the exterior surfaces let you attach compatible pouches and accessories without modifying the bag.
The main compartment divides into two separately accessible sections. The upper duffle portion (70%) opens from the top like a standard bag. The lower stiff-bin portion (30%) can be reached either through the same top opening or through its own dedicated bottom-section access point — useful when what you need is packed at the base without disturbing everything above it.
Roto-Lock is Hazard 4's patented locking buckle design, implemented on the compression straps throughout the MK3. The locking mechanism prevents the buckles from unlatching under travel vibration or pressure — a recurring issue with the generic buckles on earlier Shoreleave versions. Once set, the straps stay cinched until you deliberately release them.
It's built to. The Cordura Nylon 6,6 shell resists abrasion far better than woven polyester or nylon used in most consumer luggage. Oversized glide-rails protect the base and wheels during ramp handling. The dual PU water-repellent coating adds resistance to moisture exposure on wet tarmacs or in hold environments. The bag is designed to roll through rough terrain — cobblestone, gravel, uneven runway surfaces — and hold up over repeated checked-baggage cycles.
Yes. MOLLE webbing and fuzzy-loop fields on the exterior surfaces accept standard MOLLE-compatible pouches and hook-fastener accessories. This lets you stage frequently accessed items on the outside of the bag without opening it, which is useful at checkpoints, gates, or staging areas.
At 30" x 14" x 17" and 10.6 lbs. empty, the Shoreleave MK3 falls into large checked-bag territory. Most airlines allow checked bags up to 62 linear inches (length + width + height) and 50 lbs. — the MK3 measures 61 linear inches, so it fits within the standard linear dimension limit. Check your specific airline's weight limit, as the 10.6 lb. empty weight leaves less margin than a lighter-shell bag.
Four major upgrades: rubber textile replaced with Cordura® fabrics for better abrasion resistance; interior liner changed from polyester to tricot to support hook-fastener dividers; generic buckles replaced with Hazard 4's patented Roto-Lock locking buckles; and the two-sided carry handles consolidated to a single top handle so no straps drag on the floor. The bottom feet and base plate were also removed to allow flat storage and reduce shipping volume.
