• Location- Western Sumatra
• Estimated Age- Early to mid 20th century
• Worn by the Minangkabau during Ceremony, these pieces are very unique and not seen often. These test at about 14k- 15k and consist of a very very thin gold sheet measuring about 3" (75mm) in diameter. The designs are all made by the process of repoussé which is hammering the reverse side of the gold to make the low relief designs.
• These feature a 7/16" (11mm) metal wearable area on the back with shattered glass inlays in the faces. These pieces are one of the most rare in our collection and very seldom seen. Care should be taken and we don't suggest wearing these as these are quite fragile. The faces are less than .3mm thick.
