Threaded inserts are easy to install, simply drill the right size hole and Install with hex key provided.

In Softer wood, the outside threads cut easily into the wood, simply drill a Appropriately Sized Hole (8.5mm, 9mm, 9.5mm, 3/8" drill bit) for the body of the insert, then screw insert into the place.

In very Harder wood such as white oak or maple, drill a hole size (3/8", 9.5mm, 10mm drill bit) that close to the outside threads diameter, then screw insert into the place. If the drilled hole is too small for the threads, screwing it in MAY split the wood or insert.
