☕ Take full control of your espresso extraction. This 51mm bottomless portafilter is purpose-built for De'Longhi semi-automatic machines — including the EC310, EC330, EC680, and EC685 — giving home baristas a clear, unobstructed view of every shot. If you've been struggling with uneven extraction, channeling, or just want to step up your latte art game, swapping the stock pressurized portafilter for this naked version is one of the most impactful upgrades you can make. No mystery, no guessing — just real-time feedback so you can dial in your grind, tamp, and technique like a pro.

It fits De'Longhi semi-automatic espresso machines that use a 51mm 2-ear portafilter. This includes the EC310, EC330, EC680, and EC685 models. If your machine originally came with a pressurized 51mm basket and two side ears, this portafilter will lock in just like the original. Not compatible with 54mm or 58mm group heads, or fully automatic machines — please double-check your model before ordering.
There's a small learning curve, but it's absolutely manageable — even for beginners. The main difference is that you can see everything. If your grind is too coarse or your tamp is uneven, a bottomless portafilter will show minor spraying or uneven flow. That feedback is actually the whole point: it helps you correct your technique within a few shots. Once dialed in, you'll get cleaner, richer espresso than with a pressurized spouted portafilter.
Please check the product variant you're selecting. Many listings include a 51mm single-wall (non-pressurized) basket pre-installed or bundled. If your variant does not include a basket, you can use any standard 51mm basket that fits De'Longhi machines — including the one from your original portafilter, as long as it's a 51mm size.
Cleaning is straightforward. After each use, knock out the puck and give the portafilter a quick rinse under hot water. Because there's no spout, no coffee residue gets trapped in hard-to-reach spots. For a deeper clean, remove the basket and soak both pieces in warm water with a small amount of espresso machine cleaner once a week. Avoid abrasive scrubbers to keep the stainless steel finish looking new.
Absolutely — and that's one of the biggest advantages. Without a spout restricting the space underneath, you can easily fit a small coffee scale and a taller latte glass or mug directly under the portafilter. This lets you weigh your yield in real time and stop the shot at exactly the right output, which is a key technique for consistent espresso.
