The Slik Master 3Sec. 1891 has a bit of a weird name, but this is a Japanese domestic market tripod, so that's not too unexpected. As you might have guessed from the name, this is a 3-section tripod; if you guessed that "1891" refers to extended height, you'd be wrong, because maximum extension is about 165cm (or 1650mm) with centre column up. What does 1891 mean? According to Wikipedia, it is the year that the future Czar Nicholas II was almost assassinated while visiting Japan, so if you connect the dots, you will see that it does not refer to the year at all and is just a random model number, and frankly it's a bit weird if you were even considering the connection there, don't you think?
