Ultra NT SCIF Barrier from EcoFoil is designed to help create secure rooms where sensitive compartmentalized information can be stored, processed, or discussed. This RF shielding material features a tough woven polyethylene layer bonded between two highly reflective, tear-resistant aluminum foil facings. Engineered to block RF frequencies from entering or escaping a protected space, it is frequently specified for military, government, and corporate facilities that require ICD 705 compliance and high-level electronic security.

Manufactured by Covertech and commonly referenced as rFOIL® 1800 Ultra NT, this barrier delivers reliable shielding performance across walls, ceilings, and floors. It is also available in 1,000 sq. ft. rolls, and a perforated version is offered when airflow or moisture vapor transfer is required.

RF Shielding for SCIF Rooms & Secure Environments

Ultra NT SCIF Barrier is used to help prevent electronic surveillance, data leakage, and interference in secure spaces. As part of a complete SCIF system, it helps maintain the integrity of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities by reducing RF intrusion and supporting the controls required for accredited environments. When seams are taped using SCIF-approved tape, the barrier also functions as a water vapor barrier to protect the structure.

Lightweight, Easy-to-Install RF Barrier

This shielding foil installs quickly using two common methods. It can be stapled directly to exposed studs—using SCIF tape to cover staple penetrations—or applied to solid surfaces such as concrete, plywood, FRP panels, and metal using Spray-Lock Eco-Friendly Adhesive. For best results, the material should be installed continuously across walls, floors, and ceilings to form a complete shielding envelope.
