Their 16th studio album "DO IT FOR LOVE" is their first release since their last album "MARIGOLD SKY" about 6 years ago.Released in 2003, this album is a masterpiece of their trademark hooky, yet sophisticated blue-eyed soul. The album features the title track "Do It For Love," which reached No. 1 on the U.S. Adult Contemporary chart and can be called a Hall & Oates classic, as well as "Soul" featuring Greg Alexander of the New Radicals, Todd Rundgren, and the New Radicals. The song was later covered by country artists such as Susan Ashton, The Jenkins, and 4Runner, and The Jenkins' version reached the Top 40 on the U.S. country charts. The Jenkins' version of "Getaway Car," which reached the Top 40 on the U.S. country charts, and other hit songs were produced. Daryl Hall & John Oates were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003, the same year this album was released, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, and also had a star embedded in the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2016.After 40 years of their career, they are still active mainly on tour, and this long-awaited CD reissue of their masterpieces from the 2000s is the first time they have released a CD.
