Do you have a young one at home who is curious about Japanese food? Maybe they're eager to make onigiri or just go out and eat tempura? Well, this new book, A Very Asian Guide to Japanese Food, written by Naoko Takei Moore with beautiful illustrations by Yoko Baum, should be on their reading list.
In her first book for children, Naoko takes her young readers on a delightful journey through so many aspects of Japanese cuisine. She uses sensory categories like "Chewy", "Crisp" and "Colorful" to highlight different Japanese ingredients and dishes such as mochi, tempura and sandos. Naoko's love of Japanese cuisine and eagerness to share comes shining through.
With each copy Naoko has included a signed bookplate.
