There’s nothing a cup of tea can’t fix, or so they say... and there's some truth to that. With historical roots in East Asia, people of different cultures from around the world have been drinking tea for thousands of years. Science appears to support this practice.

Herbal teas are made from tisanes, which are blends or infusions of dried fruits, flowers, spices or herbs in water. Tisanes have been shown to offer medicinal effects. Be an informed consumer—many beverages marketed as "herbal tea" with "herbal tea benefits" are nothing more than sugary juice.

BLOOD SUGAR BALANCE - May Improve blood sugar levels

Ingredients: Rooibos, White Mulberry Leaf, Cinnamon, Tulsi, Artichoke Leaf, Milk Thistle, Oregon Grape Root (Berberine) Gymnema Sylvestre

Rooibos - Studies suggest that rooibos, especially its primary flavonoid aspalathin, may help reduce blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity.

White Mulberry Leaf - may help lower blood sugar levels, particularly post-meal, due to its ability to inhibit the absorption of carbohydrates. Specifically, the compound 1-deoxynojirimycin (DNJ), found in the extract, helps reduce the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates in the gut. 

Tulsi -  may bring about a significant decrease in fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels. Tulsi is known to improve insulin sensitivity and reduce the burden on pancreatic beta cells in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Oregon Grape (Berberine) – Oregon Grape (Berberis spp.) offers liver support, cardiovascular support, and blood glucose regulation. Berberine possesses an array of cardiovascular properties, including antiarrythmic and vasodilatory properties (Lau et al. 2001).

Artichoke Leaf - Studies suggest that artichoke may help lower fasting blood sugar levels, improve blood sugar and insulin levels, and may positively impact serum glucose. The high fiber content in artichokes can help slow down the absorption of sugar, which contributes to more stable blood sugar levels.

Gymnema Sylvestre -  Several studies have shown that gymnemic acids can help stimulate insulin secretion and improve glucose uptake in cells, which may lead to better blood sugar control.

Directions: Steep 1 tblspns in 8 oz. filtered boiling water for 10-15 mins, strain and enjoy  2 x day.

Re-use herbs the following day with 1 tblspn fresh herbs added to 20 oz. filtered water. Repeat for 3 days then discard old herbs.

Dosage:   2 cups daily
