Megumi
Description:
The moon and stars in the deep blue sky, thin clouds, and sometimes rain. Megumi moved to the U.S. in 1998, graduated from NYU (New York University) in 2002, and after working as a jazz vocalist in the New York jazz scene, moved to Yamanashi and released her long-awaited first album. The album features two guests: pianist Jun Furuya, whose originality and rich sensitivity as a performer and composer are highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad, and pianist Eishin Nose, who has been active not only in New York but also in Europe and Japan as a composer and music producer. The album is based on the concept of "the moon and stars in the deep blue sky, thin clouds, and sometimes rain" and features folk songs from the Okinawa and Yaeyama regions.
