Measure your shaft's outer diameter — this becomes the seal's ID. Measure the bore housing inner diameter — this becomes the seal's OD. The width should match or be slightly less than your housing depth. For example, a 25mm shaft running in a 47mm bore with a 7mm housing depth calls for a 25×47×7mm seal. TC refers to the rubber-covered outer case construction, which helps the seal grip the bore housing and resist spinning. Double lip means the seal has two sealing lips: a primary spring-loaded lip that retains oil or grease on the inboard side, and a secondary dust lip that blocks contaminants from entering from the outside.
