Note: 8; 12; 16 and 20" overstock springers come with a 3° positive offset and require the use of a special center part (981460 chrome or 981461 black) to mount risers for late style handlebars. Note: Positive offset forks (wheel further forward) give less trail than an inline fork. When using a custom frame; with a raked neck; trail is increased. Increased trail is fine; as long as it is in a straight line. The bike can become heavy to steer when riding slow; have a tendency to fall into the corner and have excessive ''wheel flop'' when parked. To overcome these problems trail must be reduced; which is done with a positive trail fork. This is why only Over Stock length Springer forks are offered with a positive trail.
