This is an impressive debut album by a sound painter who adds color to his sound as well as a vocalist of exceptional purity and boldness. Introducing Breckman as a singer as well as a composer, several instrumental pieces are performed by what he calls "ambient" guitarist Ben Monder, keyboardist Shai Maestro, and the delicate rhythm section of Chris Tordini and John Hollenbeck.
