The wizard of the keyboard, who was called the fifth Beatle, reissued his masterpiece from his early days! The 1964 album is composed of half originals and half covers, and the outstanding feature is his inexhaustible phrasing, which shows the difference in coloration from song to song. The album is full of great songs, including the excellent cover M-1 and the mod classic M-10, but M-7, which was later performed opposite the Beatles in the "Get Back Session," is also a must-see. The next album, coupled with this one, is a funky and giddy all covers album that covers the hits of 1965. Billy's sense of style explodes on this album, and the well-known songs are groovy and full of flavor. The album also includes M-14, a no-questions-asked cover, and M-18 and M-19, which foreshadow the Beatles Connection that would follow.
