a-ha "True North," a-ha's first new album in seven years and first for Sony Music. a-ha's 11th new album in seven years, "True North," is the first album for a-ha's move to Sony Music. The moving new song "I'm In", which opens the album, presents a new look at a-ha as a trio of Magne, Morton, and Paul. The orchestral arrangement is by Kjetil Bjerkestrand, whose relationship with a-ha dates back to the 1994 single "Shapes That Go Together. Magne, who wrote the moving "I'm In," said of the song, "It's about a statement of total commitment and support for those in distress. True commitment is a leap of faith. But it is also about achieving something worthwhile: love, friendship, change, self-improvement, a career, a better world. Of course, this is easier said than done, but it begins with an attitude, and then with words. After this, it is all hard work to realize the potential that one's commitment brings to the world.Without this attitude, everything would just be filled with contradictory thoughts, doubts, and fears. Just say "I'm in. For the new album "True North," a-ha has decided on a new approach. True North" is not only a new album, but also a film of a-ha recording a song in the Norwegian city of Bodø, 90 km above the Arctic Circle, in November 2021.
