An aux send and a stereo return give you monitor mix options that the smaller Mix models don't offer, and the EQ is the same musical 3-band design across the mono channels. If you've outgrown a basic 4- or 6-channel mixer but don't need the full ProFX feature set, the Mix12FX fills that gap nicely.
